Let’s Wake Up in 2026:
A Message to Every Human on This Planet

A simple reminder of how connected we are, how blessed most of us are, and why it’s time to live awake

This is my first blog of the year.

I am writing it with one clear intention:

To imprint on the universe my desire – and my attempt – to help make this world a better place.

I am not a president. I am not a billionaire. I am one person with a voice and a keyboard.

But there is something you need to remember:

1. We Are All Only a Few Steps Away From Each Other

Maybe you have heard this idea:

Scientists and sociologists talk about “degrees of separation” – the idea that every person on Earth is connected to any other person by just a few steps through friends of friends.

Maybe it is 6 steps. Maybe 7. Maybe 8. The exact number is not the point.

The point is this:

Social media – including Facebook – makes this connection even stronger.

The algorithm is built to spread what people engage with. If enough of us share, comment, react, pass a message on, it can travel very far, very fast.

So if this message is shared with the right people, in a short time, it can reach almost everyone.

It might even, with the help of God, land on the desk of a president. But even if it doesn’t, it can land where it matters most: in your heart, in your home, in your circle.

2. My First Message: It Is Not Worth It

Let me be very clear:

It is not worth it:

  • fighting,
  • hating,
  • killing people

for things you cannot take to the grave.

It is not worth it:

  • amassing fortunes you will never be able to spend,
  • and then still wanting to amass more and more.

That is not intelligence. That is total insanity.

It is not worth it:

  • craving,
  • lusting,
  • taking what is not yours,

while feeling no remorse at all for the millions of people suffering on this planet.

To live on Earth, enjoying comfort, safety, and excess, and never stop to think of the ones who have nothing, is not just selfish – it is a kind of sleep.

3. A Lesson I Teach My Children

When my children complain and say:

  • “I don’t like this food.”
  • “I don’t like that.”
  • “This is not enough.”

I remind them of a simple, brutal truth:

There are millions, maybe hundreds of millions, of people who did not eat anything yesterday, will not eat today, and do not know if they will eat tomorrow.

Read that again:

  • No breakfast.
  • No lunch.
  • No dinner.
  • No “snack after school”.
  • Just hunger and uncertainty.

Most of us reading this have more than we are willing to admit.

4. Count What You Really Have

Let’s be honest for a moment.

Most of us reading this:

  • have a roof over our head
(maybe we still owe money for it, but we are protected from the weather),
  • have clean drinking water,
  • have electricity,
  • have at least one change of clothes,
  • have a refrigerator – maybe not full, maybe not luxury food, but something we can cook.

If you have:

  • a safe place to sleep,
  • something to eat,
  • water to drink,
  • clothes to wear,

you are already far richer than many millions of people on this planet.

We need to:

  • count our blessings,
  • be thankful,
  • and start thinking much more seriously about the suffering of our brothers and sisters.

Yes, I said brothers and sisters.

Because in the long chain of human history, somewhere in the past, we do have a common father and mother.

This is not a fairy tale. This is a biological and anthropological fact.

5. We Live Asleep – It Is Time to Wake Up

We live as if:

  • this life will last forever,
  • our comfort is normal,
  • other people’s suffering is far away and not our concern.

We are asleep.

Asleep in:

  • routine,
  • consumption,
  • endless comparison,
  • scrolling on social media
  • constant complaining.

Meanwhile:

  • wars continue,
  • greed continues,
  • exploitation continues,
  • and children go to bed hungry every night.

It is time to wake up.

Let us make 2026 the year we wake up and make a conscious effort to actually be the change we always talk about.

6. What You Can Do – Starting Today

You might say:

“But I am not powerful. I am not rich. What can I do?”

You can:

  • stop glorifying greed and cruelty in your own conversations,
  • spend quality time with your loved ones, and even with some you do not love
  • teach your children gratitude instead of entitlement,
  • help one person around you who is struggling – with food, with a bill, with a simple act of kindness,
  • refuse to join hate, racism, and dehumanizing language when others use it,
  • use your online presence not just for selfies and arguments, but for consciousness and compassion.

And you can do this one simple thing:

Send it to everyone you know. Let it travel through your network, then their network, and beyond.

If enough people share it, if enough hearts pause for a moment and really look at themselves and the world, maybe – just maybe – we move one tiny step away from madness and one step closer to sanity.

7. My Hope for This Message

My hope is simple:

  • That you read this and feel a little discomfort – the good kind.
  • That you look around your home and say, “I have more than I admit.”
  • That you remember the millions who didn’t eat yesterday, won’t eat today, and don’t know about tomorrow.
  • That you decide, in your own way, to live more awake this year.

And if you do nothing else for humanity in 2026:

Please, send this message to everyone you know.

With the help of God, it might touch someone who can move mountains. But even if it doesn’t, it can still move you. And that is where all real change begins.

8. My New Year Wishes for You in 2026

As we step into this new year, from my heart to yours, I want to wish you more than just “Happy New Year”.

I wish you:

  • Love – real love, not just romance: the kind that forgives, supports, and tells the truth.
  • Happiness – not just moments of pleasure, but a deep sense that your life has meaning.
  • Laughter – the kind that fills your home, heals tension, and reminds you that you are alive.
  • Health – in your body, your mind, and your relationships.
  • Gratitude eyes that can see what you already have, before chasing what you don’t.
  • Awareness above all, a clear awareness that we are truly brothers and sisters on this planet.

Let us love each other more in 2026.

Let us:

  • judge less and understand more,
  • take less and give more,
  • hate less and care more.

We are one human family. Let’s start acting like it.

Happy New Year, dear brother, dear sister. May 2026 be the year you wake up, give thanks, and become a living blessing to others.
