Walk with Life or Be Dragged: My Last Lesson: Stop Being a Slave of Your Mind

MY Last Lesson of the Year:
Walk with Life or Be Dragged

My final gift for 2026: a simple image that can free you from being a slave of your own mind

This is my last blog of the year. I’m writing it as a gift – to humanity, to my friends, to my family, and to you.

If you truly understand and apply what I’m about to share, it can change how you live the rest of your life. If you don’t, you will continue as a slave of your own mind.

This is freedom in the simplest possible form.

 1. Life Is  like a Cart, You Are like a Dog Tied to It

I’m going to use a very simple metaphor. It is not meant to insult you; it is meant to make this truth unforgettable.

Imagine this:

  • Life is a cart moving from the past → to the future.
  • You are like a dog tied to that cart with an unbreakable rope.

The cart is always moving forward in time:

  • day to night,
  • yesterday to today,
  • today to tomorrow.

Now here is the uncomfortable truth:

You have only two real options with that cart.

 2. Two Choices: Walk with the Cart or Try to Stop Walking or even Worse Try to move in the Opposite Direction

Choice 1 – Walk/Run Along with the Cart

You see that the cart is moving forward, so you:

  • stand up,
  • move your legs,
  • match your pace to its direction,
  • keep the rope loose.

You are still tied. You are going to be moved forward.

 But:

  • you are not being injured, scraped, or damaged
  • you feel less pain, and if you keep pace, none at all,
  • you can even look around and enjoy the scenery on the way
  • you can move forward with pride and dignity.

Choice 2 – Stop and Try to Move in Reverse to the Cart

The second choice is what most people do without knowing:

  • you dig your feet into the ground,
  • you pull backwards on the rope,
  • you try to reverse the cart,
  • you scream inside: “No! This cannot be! Go back!”

But life still moves forward.

So what happens?

  • You are dragged.
  • Your skin gets ripped.
  • You bleed, you hurt, you get injured.

The cart is going to keep moving forward, irrespective of whether you do or not; it keeps going in the same direction, but now you go there in the most painful way possible.

💡 FACT (kept simple): People who constantly fight and replay what has already happened suffer more stress and anxiety than those who accept reality and adjust. The events are the same – the mental position makes the difference.
 3. You Cannot Control the Cart, But You Can Control How You Move

Here is the essence:

You do not have power over the cart of life. You do have power over how you, as the dog, move.

You and I cannot fully control:

  • who leaves us,
  • who betrays us,
  • which accidents or illnesses come,
  • which doors close forever,
  • the simple fact that time moves forward and nothing goes back.

But there is one place where your power is absolute:

You have the power over how you think about life – not over the things that happen, but over your inner position toward them.

That power is immutable. Nothing and no one can take it from you.

Every day, whether you know it or not, you are using that power in one of two ways:

  • to walk with the cart, or
  • to try to reverse it and be dragged.
 4. The One Question That Decides Your New Year

I don’t want this to stay as a “nice image” in your head. I want it to confront you.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Are you going to let life drag and damage you, or are you going to move along – even run – and enjoy what you can?

Please see this clearly:

  • In both situations, the cart is moving forward.
  • In both situations, time is moving and passing;  life is forever changing.

The only difference between being dragged and walking is your own decision.

Not God. Not the government. Not your ex, not your boss, not your parents.

You decide whether you:

  • keep pulling desperately against what already is, or
  • accept reality and choose the most dignified, least painful way to move with it.
💡 FACT (kept simple): Again and again, people who change their inner response to life events – instead of trying to change the past – report feeling more in control, even when nothing outside is fixed. Your mind can be a prison or a key.

5. My Last Gift and Blessing for You

This is my last blog for this year. I offer it as a simple, clean gift:

Life is a cart moving from past to future. You are tied to it. You can choose to walk or run with it, or you can stop and try to reverse it and be dragged. But you are going to move in the direction the cart is going whether you like it or not.

You have no power over the cart. You have full power over how you think, how you move, and how much you suffer on the way.

For 2026, I wish you:

  • the clarity to see where your real power begins and ends,
  • the courage to stop trying to reverse what cannot be reversed,
  • the humility to walk – even when the road hurts,
  • and the wisdom to enjoy every piece of scenery life still offers you.

Don’t let another year go by being a slave of your own mind. I offer you the gift of freedom right here, right now. Take it, it is free.

The cart is already moving.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
